Little girl and pony Murfreesboro photography session

This family contacted me to start planning their sweet daughter’s 3 year session.  While we were discussing ideas and possible locations for the session, her mom mentioned that miss “B” loves horses.  She had the idea of finding a field where we could caputure “B” playing with  horses in the background.  While I was searching for possible horse locations, I came across a miniture pony that photographers can rent for their sessions.  It seemed to be the perfect fit for “B’s” session because the property where the pony stayed also owned horses as well.  We booked the pony for a Saturday morning and were excited for the session day to arrive.  On the Thursday evening before their session, I got a text that the pony we had booked wouldn’t be available due to circumstances out of the owners control.  I was eating with my family at my favorite restaurant in the entire world, Jason’s Deli.  When I got that text, my perfect salad didn’t taste so great after I realized we had ONE day to find another pony or horse.  I immediately started calling/messaging/texting every horse lover I knew to try and find a new location with horses.  Thankfully there are people who are always willing to help out when in a pinch.  Within an hour or so I had several leads and a few potential options.  A local photographer in the community ended up putting me in touch with a friend of hers who owns a white pony named Smokey.  By the start of Friday morning we had booked Smokey the pony for our Saturday session!  What a dream this sweet 3 year old’s session turned out to be!  My photographer heart couldn’t have been more pleased with the beautiful details and  how it all played out!  Take a quick peek for yourself to see how precious it truly was.

Albums are a great way to re-live your favorite details and memories from your session day!  This session truly had a story and I was so pleased with how beautifully their album turned out!  Click HERE to watch a video of me browsing through it.

Middle Tennessee Newborn Lifestyle Session

I loved everything about this precious NEWBORN LIFESTYLE SESSION!  My favorite moments during newborn sessions are always the “real life” interactions between new parents and their  little bundle of joy!  A new mom or dad, though tired, beam with excitement, delight, and pure love at their sweet infant.  All of this combined with a session in the comfort of the baby’s first home makes my heart smile.

This sweet family moved into their pretty home just before baby “H” arrived.  Home is that special place that she will experience many firsts such as tasting her first bite, learning to roll over, crawl & walk for the first time, saying her first word, enjoying her first Christmas, and singing her first song.  The list of “firsts” that will take place in this home could go on and on and on!  I find it such a special blessing and honor that parents hire me to capture their “first” family session centered around their home!  This baby girl has some amazing parents who are over the moon crazy about her and it shows in these images.  I am so very happy for this precious new family!

This family has fabulous style and has been gracious enough to share with me some of their awesome finds we used for their baby girl’s newborn session.  Check out some of these brands.  You will be happy you did!

Hello World

Change can be good.  I do very much enjoy it most of the time.  I am well overdue for a professional site/blog.  It is something I have wanted to do for a couple years now, but that requires CHANGING what I have been use to and learning something new.  With that said, here I am posting my very first blog post ever and I am pretty excited.  My site is NO WHERE near complete, but at least I can publish this post and feel like I accomplished something tonight!  YAY for change and learning new skills ♥
